California Lawmakers Try To Improve Safety Of Plastic Surgery

Hollywood (ChattahBox) - The death of the mother of rap star Kanye West, Donda West, has forced lawmakers in California to push to improve the safety of plastic surgery.

The 58-year old mother of Kanye West, Donda West, died following cosmetic surgery last November. She had both liposuction and breast implant procedures done.
Her death quickly caught worldwide attention due to the notariety of rap star Kanye West. California lawmakers have introduced two bills to try and improve safety of these procedures.

The first new bill will force outpatient facilities be inspected once every three years, as many plastic surgery procedures are done in outpatient facilities.

The second bill will require a physical examination before going through the plastic surgery.
Lawmakers are hopeful that these new safety regulations and restrictioins can help reduce the number of complications and deaths caused by plastic surgery.
